"Sacral Chakra"

The second chakra, is called the Sacral or Svadhisthana Chakra.  It is often depicted as orange, although associating colors and meanings with specific chakras is a modern construct.  It is located above the Root Chakra, at the sacrum.  Symbolizing our creativity and emotions.  When we feel creatively blocked - writers block for example, or a lack of inspiration, it is because this chakra is not balanced.  When we feel emotionally cut off and isolated, numb, or a need to withdraw from others, it is time to clear the energy of this chakra.  Oppositely, if we are overly emotional, out of control, depressed, experience mood swings, this chakra could be overstimulated.  The point is balance.  Focusing on clearing away the blocks to creativity, while maintaining focus and control over our emotions.
