"Throat Chakra"

The throat chakra, or Viśuddha, is my favorite chakra.  Located at the throat, and commonly depicted as blue, this chakra is all about truth and purity.  Demonstrating the importance of speaking your truth.

When I think about communication, I think of the word communion, or coming together.  All of the chakras represent a balance in some way.  And this chakra reminds me of a Gandhi quote: "Happiness is when what you think, what you say, and what you do are in harmony."  We commune with ourselves, and bridge the gap between what we want and what we get, by speaking our truths.

When this chakra is out of balance, we get sore throats, neck tension headaches, mouth or teeth issues, lock jaw, and illnesses related to these symptoms.  This is why it is so important to live and speak your truth.  And this piece will always remind you to do that.
